Terms of Use

Published: 1 September 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Find a Conference, including its websites, apps, accounts, and Individual subscription (the Service). The Service is operated by Arterion Pty Ltd (ACN 620 173 668) (Arterion, we, us, or our).

1. Agreement to these Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to anonymous visitors as well as account holders and paying users. We will ask you to expressly accept these Terms when creating an account or completing checkout.

Our Privacy and Cookies Policy explains how we handle personal information and applies to your use of the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase a subscription. You must provide accurate and current account information, keep your account and sign-in links secure, and promptly tell us at support@findaconference.net if you suspect unauthorised access. Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account.

You may request account deletion by emailing us. Deleting an account does not itself cancel a subscription; you must cancel the subscription as described below. We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy and Cookies Policy.

3. The Service and conference information

Find a Conference is an independent conference discovery and planning service. We are not a conference organiser, ticket seller, travel agent, or representative of any listed event. Event details, ticket prices, availability, dates, travel information, and links may change or contain errors. You must verify information that matters to you directly with the relevant organiser or provider before making a decision, purchase, or travel arrangement.

We may use automated and AI-assisted tools to collect, extract, classify, summarise, and update information. Rankings, recommendations, travel estimates, costs, attendance figures, and suitability indicators are informational estimates only. They are not financial, travel, legal, procurement, or professional advice, and we do not guarantee event attendance, outcomes, return on investment, or travel feasibility.

Conference descriptions and topic tags are written by AI from public sources, and are labelled as such wherever they appear. An editor may check them for accuracy, but they remain machine-written and are not quoted from the source they were drawn from.

4. Permitted use and restrictions

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service and Arterion-published conference content for personal or internal business research. You may share links and brief, attributed excerpts. All other rights are reserved.

You must not:

  • use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, or in a way that infringes another person's rights;
  • interfere with the Service, bypass security measures, or attempt unauthorised access;
  • scrape, crawl, harvest, bulk extract, copy, reproduce, resell, republish, or build a dataset from the Service or its content without our written permission;
  • use the Service or its content to train, develop, or improve a competing AI system or service; or
  • use the Service to create or operate a competing service.

This does not prohibit ordinary browsing or standard public-search indexing. We may separately agree in writing to API or data access.

5. Your information, feedback, and our content

You retain ownership of information you provide to us, such as watchlists, preferences, support messages, and feedback. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, back up, and display that information only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service. If you provide feedback, you grant us the right to use it without restriction, payment, or attribution.

Arterion and its licensors own the Service and all Arterion-published content, including its software, design, databases, names, logos, and intellectual property rights. If we have a conference detail wrong, email suggestions@findaconference.net with the conference identified and the correction. For removal demands, intellectual-property complaints, and legal review, email support@findaconference.net with the material identified, the claimed right, supporting information, contact details, and a good-faith statement. We may investigate, correct, restrict, or remove material at our discretion and without admitting liability.

6. Individual subscription, trial, billing, and refunds

The Individual subscription is billed annually. Before you subscribe, we will show the annual price, its monthly equivalent, the first charge date, and the total payable. Australian prices include GST unless we clearly state otherwise. Polar is the merchant of record and provides the hosted checkout, receipt, and applicable payment terms.

An eligible first-time user may receive one 14-day free trial per person and payment method. Payment details are required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your trial automatically converts to the Individual subscription and Polar will charge the disclosed annual price. We will send a reminder at least three days before the first charge. We may refuse or end a trial that is used fraudulently or repeatedly.

Subscriptions renew automatically each year until cancelled. You may cancel through the Polar customer portal linked from account settings, or email support@findaconference.net if you need help. Cancellation during a trial prevents charges and access continues until the trial ends. For a paid subscription, cancellation takes effect when submitted, access ends immediately, and we will issue a daily pro-rata refund for the unused annual term, excluding the day of cancellation. We will confirm the cancellation and refund calculation.

We will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the Service before increasing a subscription price. The new price applies only to the next renewal after that notice. If we discontinue the Individual subscription or terminate your paid access without fault on your part, we will issue a daily pro-rata refund for the unused annual term. We may also issue discretionary refunds, but this does not create a right to future refunds.

Nothing in this section limits rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

7. Third-party services and availability

The Service may link to organisers, ticketing services, venues, travel providers, and other third parties. Those services are outside our control. We do not endorse or accept responsibility for their availability, content, security, terms, transactions, or conduct.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service. We do not provide an uptime, continuity, backup, or support-response guarantee. We will use reasonable efforts to give notice of material changes where practical, but outages and interruptions may occur.

8. Suspension and termination

We may immediately suspend or terminate access for a security threat, fraud, unlawful conduct, payment failure, or serious or repeated breach of these Terms. For a less serious breach, we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to remedy it where practical. You may ask us to review a suspension or termination by emailing support@findaconference.net.

If we terminate paid access because of your fraud or serious breach, no refund is required except where required by law. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination will continue, including intellectual property, liability, indemnity, and dispute provisions.

9. Disclaimers, liability, and indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.

To the extent permitted by law, Arterion's total aggregate liability arising out of or connected with the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of AUD 100 and the fees you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or opportunity.

You indemnify Arterion and its personnel against losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses reasonably arising from your unlawful use of the Service, infringement of another person's rights, fraud, or material breach of these Terms. This does not apply to the extent a loss is caused by our negligence, misconduct, or breach of these Terms.

10. Governing law and disputes

Before starting court proceedings, you and Arterion will give written notice of a dispute to support@findaconference.net and try in good faith to resolve it for 30 days. This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief, making a complaint to a regulator, or exercising rights that cannot be restricted by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The courts of New South Wales and courts entitled to hear appeals from them have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the updated version and effective date. For material changes, we will give account holders at least 30 days' notice by email or in the Service. Changes required for law, security, or fraud prevention may take effect immediately. We may require renewed acceptance where a change materially affects paid rights. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means you accept it; if you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription before its next renewal.

12. Contact

For questions, account deletion requests, corrections, intellectual-property complaints, legal notices, or privacy requests, contact Arterion at support@findaconference.net.
